The high cross chapel from the middle of the 17th century used to have beautiful relief representations and a pietà, which can now be seen in the parish church.
The paths around the chapel are currently (08/2021) quite overgrown (apart from the long concrete stairs that lead into the vineyards on the outskirts).
The chapel is enthroned on a large rock and offers a view of Valwig with a railing. At the foot of the rock there seems to be a cave / niche, but this cannot be reached through vegetation.
