Beautiful tour at Himmerod Monastery. Monastery restaurant reopened 🤠. Beautiful hiking area near Wittlich. Today's route was about 80% on forest/wood paths. Unfortunately, only the rest were trails🤷.

Short trip to the Rhön🥾. Inspired by a crime novel that took place here in the Rhön 🤠. So checking if the area is like in the book. It's like our Eifel🤣. Forest, valleys, meadows etc. .🤠But the highest mountain, the Wasserkuppe, has 950 altitude meters. So actually higher than the Eifel🫣.

Small hike on the Mosel. The Apollo trail is actually closed at Cochem. So unfortunately it is no longer maintained 🙄. It is very overgrown and in the summer actually impassable. A shame for the region 🤷.

Today our 500th tour on Komoot 🤠. So to celebrate the day, we went to the Mosel again. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed again at the end🥴. In Burgen there is a place to stop for refreshments. Use it, as it's otherwise very dry 😜.

Today, in the most beautiful 🌞 weather, I walked the "Kleinen Dauner" route again with a slight modification. The Philosophenweg is interesting. Today to Immerather Maar from Lutzerath. Lots of forest and shade. But also 🦗 mosquitoes, at least for my wife 🤠. The Neumühle is about halfway. But it's only open every first Sunday of the month, from 1 PM. Coffee and homemade 🍰. But there is a self-service fridge for the thirsty. 🥾
