You can learn something about mining in the region in Gimmlitztal in the silver classroom. Various information boards tell something about the history, you can test your knowledge of mining terms on a pin board and you can pump and scoop water yourself and run it over a water wheel. This beautiful square was designed with the help of the region's fire brigade and maintained by volunteers. If you like, you can rest here and listen to the birds or the nearby river. Not far from here you can also find the remains of old mills and an ore wash.
