The railway station Peitz Ost, Lower Sorbian Dwórnišćo Picnjo pódzajtšo, is located far outside the center of Peitz. He went into operation in 1872. An ensemble of buildings from the early days of the station has been preserved and is a listed building. Since the 1970s, the station gained importance as a connecting station to the power station Jänschwalde and to an extensive network of coal railways.
