Bike Touring Highlight
There was a wooden bridge over the Spree before 1669. It was renewed in 1855 and converted into a stone bridge in 1890 due to the canal widening. During the Second World War, the bridge was blown up by German soldiers. In 2001, today's wooden bridge (Neue Fluthbrücke) was built at a new location. It connects the flood meadows with the meadows from the Spreebogen to the Kersdorfer See, which are known as Rehagen.
