Langenbruck - Top of Baselland, as it is called, on the way to the upper Hauenstein pass. The place became important for the first time when the Romans expanded the way to the fixed road as a connection between cities Aventicum and Augusta Raurica and through marshy terrain. Roundwood was used to bring draft animals and carts over the marshy ground. That is why this section of the route was given the name "Long Bridge".
