Crunchy and groovy E-MTB tour with a sporty component. The tour over the Born Trail and to the Sälischlössli is ideal because the higher elevations are still covered with snow. So when the weather was nice, we took them under the wheels today. This time the starting point was the small parking lot after crossing the Aare in Aarburg. We're lucky, one last parking space was still free. The tour starts right away with the uphill climb to the Born Trail. On dirt roads, some of which are quite rough, you sweat up to the starting point of the first trail. On a long, varied single trail you pedal up to the highest point of the Born, sweaty. The trail is sometimes flowing, sometimes winding, then flat and again very steep. It goes over forest floor, stones, stairs and roots. At one point you have to push up a bit because the stairs lead up too steeply. Anyone who has a pushing aid has an advantage. You have to share this section of the trail with hikers and other athletes, so some caution and consideration is required. On the way you pass a fork in the hiking trail, which used to be a pointless ban on biking. Anyone who has stomped this far will certainly not turn back. There is no alternative. The ban is currently as far away as it can be. Juhuu ..... 😃 Hopefully forever, after all, it's a popular MTB trail. The downhill from Born to Olten continues along the ridge on a long single trail. Attention, there is a thick branch on a flowing sloping section that leads across the hiking trail. So deep that it is dangerous for bikers and has already provoked accidents. You can drive around it on the left without any problems. So: keep your eyes open, even if you shout with joy 😁😅😎.The descent is a highlight for experienced bikers. If you have less experience, you have to stop briefly from time to time. With the broadest grin that bikers know 😁😎, you rush through various key points. Typical Jura. In addition to flowing spots, there are crisp roots, stone blocks and rock slabs. If it has rained there are slippery spots. One should be particularly careful with the roots and rock slabs. Today it was very dry and you could cycle quite quickly. We have definitely made some hikers grin with our cheers 😁. Well, more likely to shake your head 😅.Once at the bottom, you cross the city of Olten on asphalt and continue to Starrkirch-Wil, where you start another ascent in the forest. Here, too, first on forest paths, then flowing beautiful single trails steeply up to the Engelberg. Our first destination is the Alt Wartburg ruin, which is very nice to look at. It is definitely worth a visit. The second goal, the Sälischlössli, is achieved again with a very steep single trail. Alternatively, you can comfortably approach the Sälischlössli via the asphalt road. This is where the cool Sälischlössli Trail begins, which is a lot of fun. Here, too, the typical biker grin is guaranteed. The serpentine with the easy-to-drive switchbacks is a lot of fun. The final part is a slightly rooted groovy trail. Then you cross the beautiful, ancient Aarburg to get back to the parking lot.In summary, a super nice tour that offers everything a MTB enthusiast needs. Sport, fun, adrenaline. What more do you want?

Small nice afternoon round on well-known and proven trails. The Wäsmelitrail is almost completely covered in snow and only about 25% passable, the rest is pushable. On the Lachenweg there is still snow every now and then, but only small sliding sections.

Today I wanted to go on a new trail show around the Bözingenberg. The first is a hiking trail that goes west from the restaurant and then turns south-west. It is easy to drive and quite flowing. Then back up to the restaurant and tackle the step trail to the south just below. It is actually mobile too, but you have to like steps very much. After the stepped trail, I rode into a very steep, almost pathless trail, where I was just able to stay on the bike. I forgot the photos because of the adrenaline. After this shock up again to the restaurant and further on the south slope east to the height of Pieterlen to tackle the last trail. That too has it all. A lot of inaccessible switchbacks, so the fun factor is greatly reduced.
Conclusion of the trail search: I will ride the first one again, tick the others off for the future.

Sporty and cool E-MTB tour around Burgdorf. The Jura is not yet completely free of snow, so we set our sights on the Emmental. With the best weather, we trampled Thilo Krämer's Best of Tour. With a few small adjustments. We left out a loop at the end, but built an additional one at the beginning. The tour starts in Burgdorf and includes a lot of trails that I don't want to list all of them. There are just too many. Most of them are listed in the highlights. We were prepared for a muddy tour and were pleasantly surprised. Except for a few places, the forest and sandstone floor was dry enough to race through the trails. However, a few very steep passages were not yet drivable. Even pushing it down there was a slippery affair. The trails around Burgdorf are regularly maintained and repaired by the local bikers. Their condition is correspondingly good. There are really cool trails with banked curves, jumps or stairs. You also drive down some fairly steep root trails with switchbacks. Or rush over flowing single trails at high speed. There is simply everything on this route that is fun for MTB enthusiasts and / or generates adrenaline rushes. But you have to work hard for all of these great trails. You drive from one hill to the next over partly quite steep uphills on trails, paths or forest paths. And it keeps working up a sweat. The altimeters are worked out at intervals.Thilo put together a super nice tour with his Best of. Thank you very much for that. And also a big thank you to the bikers who invest many hours in hard work to keep the trails in good shape. You deserve our respect. In summary, the tour is a highlight. Especially after the long winter time. Finally we were able to cycle cool trails again. When the weather is nice. Burgdorf, we'll be back ... Definitely.

Flowing e-mountain bike tour through snow-free but muddy trails. The tour starts in Grenchen and only leads over the Dählengraben Trail, a cool flow trail right at the beginning. So that the first biker grin spread across our faces 😁. Afterwards you pedal past the small pond pond over the Gruben and Firsi Trail to Romont. At Romont continue on the La Combe Trail towards Plagne. On the section to Plagne you wind up some very steep passages with a sweat.West of Plagne you whiz across flowing cow meadows to the groovy and crisp "Pâturage des Esserts" trail. It leads down to the asphalt road from Vauffelin and is a lot of fun. A great mix of adrenaline and fun 😁.On the opposite side of the valley, take the sweaty Chemin-des-Amoureux Trail up to the Bözingenberg restaurant. Today the otherwise great view was very limited due to clouds and Sahara dust. The sky, red from the dust, offered a special atmosphere. The further course of the route leads over the Kreten Trail of the Bözingenberg to Romont and in the opposite direction over the Gruben and Firsi Trail. Finally, we built in the All Saints Trail. Once again free of snow, the small jumps are really fun.Particularly noteworthy is the Pâturage des Esserts Trail, which today looked more like a river bed than a trail. You drive through large bodies of water and a kind of stream. The meltwater of the snow is clearly noticeable here. Interestingly, the trail is still not very muddy. In the end, however, you will be rewarded with a lake that only exists in winter when the snow melts. Together with the trees, it forms a beautiful landscape along the shore. Simply ingenious, what nature can conjure up so unexpectedly. The place on the Bözingenberg where you drive past the farm is very muddy. Approximately 50 meters of ground completely trodden by donkeys and horses. Driving around is hardly possible here.I also had my first flat tire on this tour. With Urs'e's support, the problem was quickly resolved. Wheel out, change hose, wheel in. Finished.Overall, the tour offers everything you would expect on a MTB circuit. Lots of flowing and some crisp trails. Sporty uphills and cool downhills. A little adrenaline and a lot of fun.
