Today Sunday work was the order of the day in Zurich. But at 12 it was over and I was finally able to tackle the Üetliberg. From the Binz it’s only uphill to the Hohenstein! And above you can hardly see the forest in front of the people walking. But then you are spoiled for choice. Which trail should I take ... ..that you are almost a little overwhelmed. But still found one or the other as far as Waldegg. But there begins a really cool and long trail to above Birmensdorf. Then go back up to Lieli. But the view of the Alps is fantastic. Another tricky trail before Bremgarten and then over the Reuss. Briefly visited the Erdmannlistein and then surfed through Wohlen. The ascent from Hilfikon to Eichberg is brutally steep and not really recommended. In return, the S2 trail past the dance floor is great again. On the Eichberg we enjoyed the panorama of the lake and the Alps again before we went back home via Seon and the Schürberg. Been a great tour and got to know some beautiful places again.

Today was warm again. This after snow at the beginning of the week. So we went with a short detour to Aarau via Entfelden towards Williberg. It was pretty windy today, but it was pleasantly warm. After Mühlethal I drove to Terain which I didn't really know. I came somewhere behind Bottenwil in a wonderful valley and there I went up to Williberg. Also here has never been! Really recommend. Over the Chalt we went on to Staffelbach. Over a further hill we went to Schlossrued. Village then the last ascent past the castle to the Böhler. From there I took some cool trails with me and went home via the bike park. Cool round! The KM average is unfortunately too low because I had to adjust the lap a little bit. The battery of my navigation system was in the Wannenhof at the end ;-)

Nobody really wanted to ride a bike today. Because the weather report was so streaky. But around noon there was still some motivation and we decided to do a Gränicher tour with some technical training. First it went up the "Gästel" and then to the Suhrer antenna. From there via the forest hut to the Rütihof. There we took the Rütihoftrail down to the forest playground in Gränichen. There I drove a few laps of technology and then continued over the Rütihof, Wannenhof, Böhler to the Böhlertrails. Just always cool towards the Wannenhof Restaurant. Then continue on the trails back towards Rütihof and over the (ex) forest ropes course to the bike park in Gränichen. There was really something going on today. I drove a few posts there. The last post was then at Feldschlössli. It was really fun. Thank you all for coming, despite the pace ;-)

Today the Easter tour was announced. After searching for some Easter eggs, Bykov, Nadine, Hans, Däneli, Chilchi and Ursula went via Hunzenschwil to the center of the canton of Aargau. From there on via Niederlenz along the Bünz to Othmarsingen. There were still some easy trails to master. From Othmarsingen it then rose slowly but steadily to the Maiengrünturm. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed due to Corona, and a take away was not offered, actually a shame ... I had to climb the tower with Bykov despite my fear of heights. This was 34 meters ... that gave a few more meters more. Once at the top, there was a magnificent view of the Central Plateau and the Alps. On a single trail we went down to Hägglingen and there along the Bünz to Hendschiken. We then went to Ammerswil over the level crossing with the longest waiting time in Aargau. There we drove around there on the Höhenweg and after the village came to the main road which we then crossed towards Egliswil. Another steep ascent had to be mastered, but the view above Egliswil into the mountains and the Seetal was wonderful again. We went back home via Seon and the Schürberg. Thanks everyone for coming. Was wonderful….

After a fine Good Friday meal in the open air with the family and plenty of dessert, the whole thing still had to be digested a bit. So we went on the evening single trail round in the Suhrer / Aarau forest. In part, I've never ridden the trails. Some are really fun. The highlight is always the Felsenzinnen Trail above Eppenberg. Simply wonderfully flowing and with a great view. A new addition today was the trail above the Roggenhausen Zoo. In a wonderful evening mood we went back to Gränichen.

Today we went to the Jura with Däneli. From Gränichen to Küttigen. Then towards Benkerjoch. After a few meters you go through the forest towards Hard / Saalhöhe. Continue on the road to Barmelweid and shortly before turn right into the forest to the highest point in the canton of Aargau. (You have to be there once). Then past a wonderful bread roll on a short trail past snow fields to the Schafmatt ski lift. But this was no longer in operation. We continued over the Schafmatt in the opposite slope up to the Leutschenberg. (Puhh extremely steep). When we arrived at the top, we had a chat with the farmer before leaving and examined the snow damage. At a rapid drive we went back down to the single trail to Burgweid. The trail is not really rideable in some sections, but you can continue pushing and lifting. A few small trees are still lying across the landscape. A relatively steep trail then leads from Burgweid to Birmatt. At this time of year there are currently no cows so it was possible to pass. In summer it looks different and the trail cannot be used. Unfortunately, there are a few turnstiles on the route that have to be passed. From the Birmatt it’s only downhill - cool descent to Lostorf. We went back home via Erlinsbach and Aarau. Another wonderful tour in a magnificent landscape. Thank you Däneli for the company!

Today was a spring round on Sälischlössli above Olten. The well-known chef Anton Mosimann was once the owner of the castle with an exclusive restaurant. From Gränichen we went in the direction of Suhrerchopf. We have already lost our house in the village ... but luckily we found it again soon. We continued past the dance floor (really called that) to above Grezenbach. Then we went briskly downhill and on the other side back up to Kochlschwärzi. Above Däniken and Dulliken with a wonderful view of the Jura and the Frohburg. Height of Starkirch we went pretty much up the mountain to the Sälischlössli. We weren't the only ones. There were many bikers and hikers who enjoyed the sun and the wonderful view from the castle. The kiosk was also open and so we could treat ourselves to a coffee and a nut croissant. Strengthened, we then quickly descended again on a cool short trail along the southern flank of Engelberg with a view of the Bernese Alps. Continue through Walterswil and Kölliken back to Gränichen. It was a wonderful tour in tw. still unknown territory.

Today a tour to the east of the Aargau was announced. I saw many historical sites in Aargau. The tour led from Gränichen via Hunzenschwil to the Aare. In Wildegg I was able to see Wildegg Castle and shortly afterwards Biberstein Castle. It went on to Schinznach and then very steeply up to Habsburg Castle. On the other side back down past the military execution site to the Vindonissa amphitheater. Very impressive. We went on to the monastery church in Köngisfelden and the legionary camp. From there down to the old Windisch spinning mill and the spinning canal. Then came the longer climb to the Gibstdorfer Horn. Wonderful view towards the Black Forest and the moated castle. I approached Baden and the Stein ruins via beautiful single trails on the ridge. Up here, too, the view was terrific again! We went back over the Baldegg (super beautiful area - I have to remember) and over a cool single trail to Birmensdorf. Continue over the Reuss to Mülingen and under the A1 through to Birrhard. Brunegg Castle was soon visible. Continue via Mägenwil and Othmarsingen towards Lenzburg. There the end Lenzburg and the church on the Staufberg were enthroned. In between the «Kafi five-star». Back home we went via Schafisheim and my house trail over the Gränicher Häbiger. Wonderful tour in Aargau with a lot of history. And for everyone who is interested ... After 72 km and 1100 meters in altitude, I still had 1 ½ dashes and a radius of 35 km ;-) The battery would have had power ... mine rather less;.)

Today was a short, nice training tour in Gränichen Ost on the program. In addition to a few kilometers, the goal was to do some trails. Found a new trail again (thanks to Bykov) on the foot. It was nice ... but still cold.
