    The Willibaldsburg towers high above Eichstätt and can be seen from afar.

    The castle complex was built in 1355 by Bishop Berthold Burgrave von Zollern and served as a bishopric until 1725. In the 17th century the castle was converted into a representative residence.

    Today the castle houses various museums and scientific collections. There is also a beautiful castle garden and the beer tavern takes care of your physical well-being.
