One of the most legendary passes in Switzerland! The ascent over the cobblestones is tough, but every racing cyclist should take time to get to the pass. The descent towards Andermatt is really long and, if there are not construction sites, lots of fun. Unfortunately, there are also a lot of cars on the road here.

The beauty of looking up or down is that you see the switchbacks climbing up the wall everywhere. The cobblestone makes the slopes harder than they would be, but the charm of this climb lies precisely in its characteristic. Downhill is much less fun, your bike seems to be disassembling piece by piece and you will arrive in Airolo still shaking even if it were a hot August day.

A must for every racing cyclist! I would rather ride uphill though... going downhill is a thorough massage...
