Hiking Highlight
In May 1952, the large-capacity railway, the pre-crusher plant, the feed bunker, the belt bridges and the extension of the flotation were completed and put into operation.
The mining of ore in open-pit mining takes place in a broad mining area at several extraction points. Excavators load the debris into 30 cbm large-capacity gondolas, which are driven on a standard-gauge lane to the pre-crusher facility at the Schafberg processing facility. The raw ore coming from open pit mining via the Großraumbahn and from the underground through the main production shaft has an average lead content of 1.1-1.5%. The actual preparation process begins with the primary crusher system. In the impact mills, the material is crushed. On the further way through the treatment, the non-content components are repelled and thereby enriched the metal content of the raw ore.
