On the Döbraberg, the highest point in the Franconian Forest with almost 800 m, stands the 18 m high Prinz-Luitpold-Turm, which can be climbed over 96 steps. The filigree structure was inaugurated on May 18, 1902. From the most striking panoramic mountain in Northern Bavaria, the panoramic view stretches almost 120 km, provided the weather is good. A grandiose panoramic view is the reward for the ascent: in the east you can see the Erzgebirge, in the southeast and south the Fichtelgebirge, in the west the Staffelberg and the Veste Coburg, in the northwest the imposing forests over the Thiemitztal and in the north the expanses of Franconian Forest and Thuringian Forest there.

The "trademark" of the Döbraberg is the bright dome of the radar station of the Bundeswehr. The station, formerly operated by the US Air Force, gives the mountain a distinctive look and is visible from afar. The area around the dome is restricted area and must not be entered. From the Prinz-Luitpold-Turm on the Döbraberg, there is a wonderful all-round view over the Franconian Forest into the Fichtelgebirge, the Thuringian Forest, the Erzgebirge and the Coburger Land. Here meet a variety of trails, including the new long-distance hiking trail Frankenwald Steig, the Frankenweg (a quality trail Wanderbares Germany), the Frankenwald Steigla, Schwarzenbacher views, the Frankenwald Steigla, Zum alten Grenzstein, the Wasserscheidenweg, the Prinz-Luitpold-Weg and numerous local hiking trails.
