The Junkersmühle in the Deimerbachtal was a mill under the control of the Bann until the Napoleonic era and belonged to the "Uhler Bann". It was first mentioned in documents in 1733 as the "Lauxenmühle" (after the then owner Laux). Around 1800, Johann Nicolaus Junker, the first miller in the Junker family, took over the grain mill, which is still owned by the family today.In addition to the old mill building, which still exists in its original state, the newer mill was converted into a modern residential building in 1928, in which the Junker family now runs an inn and excursion café.Opening hours (updated 7/2021):

The menu offers cheap drinks and small meals. Up to the Wiener Schnitzel with side dishes, the dishes cost less than 10 euros, only the schnitzel with sauces and the Hunsrücker Spießbraten cost up to 12 euros. So you can eat and drink cheaply.During off-peak times there is a snack menu with bread, salad and warm sausages, in the evening (from around 5 p.m.) and Sunday lunchtime the normal menu. It is best to clarify in advance by phone with Ms. Junker on 06762/8453.
