What should the former foundry site be called? That was the task of an ideas competition that was announced in February.
More than 800 citizens then submitted their ideas and now the name has been found: "Quartier G - Old Foundry".
A jury consisting of the chairman of the BZA Mitte, the city's heritage officer, the managing director of IN-City, a representative of the city planning department, a media representative and the heads of the institutions represented on the site unanimously chose this proposal as the winner at the beginning of March. With the Ingolstadt Technical University and its institutes, with the brigk, the Museum for Concrete Art and Design, the Audi Academy, the Maritim Hotel with the Congress Centrum Ingolstadt and the Ingolstadt Economic and Scientific Promotion Agency, the former foundry site is being built.
