A beautiful stone relief right on the path. There is also a bench for a rest.

Steinbach is a typical Franconian village that is part of the municipality of Ebelsbach. The year Steinbach was founded cannot be determined exactly. The place probably came into being at the time when the Main Valley was settled by the Franks, i.e. in the 7th/8th Century. The first written mention of Steinbach can be found in a document from the year 1251. Like Schmachtenberg and Ziegelanger, it belonged to the Amt of Zeil and thus to the sphere of influence of the Bishop of Bamberg. The names of the vineyards "Pfaffenberg", "Nonnenberg" and "Abtsleite" still bear witness to this today. Self-confident Steinbach winegrowers cultivate vineyards that have been cleared of the vines as well as those that have been left in their natural state.
