Magnificent view of the Höllental and Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Easy to reach with the cable car, just a short walk, no problem even with light shoes.

The loop around the Eibsee is also feasible for the untrained and offers some great views of the Zugspitze and the Wetterstein Mountains from the north shore. In the summer and in good weather very busy.

From the Hammersbach hiking car park, the entrance hut is about 1,045 meters. It takes about 60 to 90 minutes to get there. Incidentally, the entrance fee to the gorge includes a visit to the museum in the gorge.
