The tour around the Eibsee is always a must on a holiday in the region - and we have been there many times. :)

Do not plan the tour on the weekend (Munich's local mountains) otherwise it will be too full and if possible be at the "Zugspitze" car park before 10 am

The Eibseerunde is actually always a MUST, if you are ever in the area. It has beautiful views and the paths are very easy to walk.

We were at the lake first thing in the morning. There were hardly any people there and it was very quiet and idyllic. We can only recommend using the hiking car park on the road up to the visitor car park. This is free and the path through the forest leads directly to the circular path around the Eibsee. It's just beautiful there and you can swim well, even if the water is really cold.

A great destination for families in summer and especially in autumn. The paths are easy to walk and well developed - in summer you can swim, in autumn you can enjoy the colorful foliage. It can be busy, the Eibsee is a well-known destination.

A must for all nature enthusiasts. Regardless of the weather, there are always beautiful photo opportunities. Ideally come in the morning or evening.
