Your new hiking shoes are waiting for their first use? You want to get out and spend a whole day in nature — immediately and without having to travel too far? Then we've got the perfect Collection for you: gentle hilly landscapes, rustic forests and the picturesque river valleys of Enz and Neckar extend around the Stuttgart basin. The many streams and picturesque reservoirs hidden in the dense woods are particularly beautiful destinations for a hike.

We have selected seven hikes for you to explore the nature around Stuttgart. Directly on the southwestern outskirts of the city, the Park lakes and the Heslacher waterfalls lure you to a short excursion. Further south you can explore the lovely Seven Mill Valley. And in the north, the valley landscapes around Neckar and Enz await you. Thanks to the cosy inns, restaurants and beer gardens, you won't miss out on anything culinary on your tours.

Particularly practical: most of our tours can be reached by underground, S-Bahn or regional train directly from Stuttgart main station. Just get on the train, out into the countryside without any traffic jams and up onto the hiking trail.

Another highlight on the southwestern edge of Stuttgart are the Heslacher Wasserfälle. The Glems, which is dammed in the wildlife park to the park lakes, rushes here in many small waterfalls down to the Nesenbach. It crosses the narrow, steeply cut valley heather blade. Next to the valley and the waterfalls

After several flood years in Herrenbachtal, it was decided in the 1970s to build a floodwater reservoir in the upper part of the valley - fortunately for hikers and nature lovers, because the sparkling lake and the surrounding forest are a great region for leisurely tours. On our route we will take you

South of Stuttgart stretch wide, hilly forest areas, which are crossed by many streams and small rivers. This includes the Sulzbach, which tends to flood in some years. To prevent the high water levels, a flood retention basin was set up in the densely forested Sulzbachtal, just before the confluence

The Reichenbachtal south of Stuttgart also bears the name Siebenmühlental, because even today you will find here seven historic mills, which were once driven by the waters of the Reichenbach. The mills are used today in various ways - as an inn, as a horse farm or as an organic farm. But all mills have

North of Stuttgart Enz and Neckar with picturesque river valleys lure to extensive hikes. Especially beautiful: the Hessigheim rock gardens at the mouth of the Enz in the Neckar. Rugged limestone cliffs rise high above the Neckar from the sun-drenched valley slopes. On a circular route we lead you through
