Durch die Heideklinge zu den Heslacher Wasserfällen – wandern am Wasser rund um Stuttgart

Another highlight on the southwestern edge of Stuttgart are the Heslacher Wasserfälle. The Glems, which is dammed in the wildlife park to the park lakes, rushes here in many small waterfalls down to the Nesenbach. It crosses the narrow, steeply cut valley heather blade. Next to the valley and the waterfalls, our tour takes you up to the Birkenkopf with its great panoramic view over Stuttgart.Starting point is the underground station Heslach-Vogelrain, which is served by the lines U1 and U9. From here it is only a few minutes to the heath blade. On a beautiful hiking path, it goes through the narrow, wooded valley steadily uphill to the Heslacher waterfalls. These are especially impressive after heavy rains, but otherwise they give off an idyllic picture. After wandering along the waterfalls, you cross a bridge over the B14.After crossing the main road, you hike on beautiful forest trails to the birch head. From the summit cross of the at least 511 meter high mountain, you have a great view of the Stuttgart Bay. The route then meanders through the forest down to the starting point of the tour, the underground station Heslach-Vogelrain.

I am in Stgt. Born and grown up. I have never seen the impressive tour to the Heslach waterfalls. Really recommendable, but with firm trekking shoes. The side trip from the birch head is always worthwhile. The tour was very easy to manage with the app.

Actually a nice route, but some of the paths were hardly accessible.

A wonderful tour, especially now in late autumn! As already indicated by VerWi, the last part from the Birkenkopf to the underground station leads over an MTB trail that is not fun to walk. I recommend taking the sandy path instead.
