Southwest of downtown Stuttgart lies the Wildpark nature reserve and the Pfaffenwald - both extensive, hilly forest areas that are perfect for both leisurely and extended hikes. On our tour we take you from the Stuttgart Unicampus on the edge of the Pfaffenwald to the park lakes in the Wildpark. There is always along the shore once around the lakes around and a stop at the excursion café Bärenschlössle may not be missing. The S-Bahn S1, S2 and S3 bring you quite comfortably from downtown Stuttgart to the stop University. Here you cross the campus and then stroll through the forest to the shore of Lake Pfaffensee. Once there, you turn to the right. With a wonderful view of the lake and its wooded shore, it's a leisurely stroll along the water. Soon it turns left around the lake and on the other side of the river. The Pfaffensee is followed by the Neue See and finally the Bärensee. On the shore you will also find the excursion café Bärenschlössle, which is now perfect for a relaxing break. Strengthened it then goes around the Bear Lake and then across the New Lake back to the starting point at the University.
Nice tour and therefore very popular. Those who like it quieter should perhaps hike somewhere else.
