Folge dem grünen Weg vom Parkplatz aus an der Swalmener Straße in Brüggen. Zugang durch das Drehkreuz. Anfänglich geht es über eine geteerte Straße. Aber alsbald geht es durch Wald und Heide auf gut ausgeschilderten Wegen weiter.

Almost right on my doorstep: the Two Lakes Loop, a beautiful premium hiking trail in the Wasser.Wander.Welt in the Schwalm Nette Nature Park. It starts from Hariksee, goes through the Tantelbruch nature reserve around Borner See. (I skipped this one this time due to time constraints) Then along the Schwalm

Kloster Mariendonk - Naturschutzgebiet Grasheide und Mühlhausener Benden - Niers und Langendonker Mühle
Eine moderate Wanderung durch Wiesen, Felder und Wälder. Ein kleines Stück führte allerdings über die Landstraße. Der anschließende „Urwaldweg“ entschädigte uns dafür. Niederrhein pur mit einigen schönen alten Gehöfte.

So many highlights: From the Gitstapper Mill, the route first led to EffelderWaldsee. Along the Rothenbach and the Rur, the wonderful path led to Daelenbroeck Castle. Through the NSG De Turfkoelen (a heath moor), and through meadows and forests, we finally reached the "Gitstapper Mill" again.
