🇫🇷 Vallée de Chaudefour – Wasserfälle und Spuren des alten Vulkanismus 🌋💦
Nach der Hitze der vergangenen Tage brachte ein Gewitter endlich die ersehnte Abkühlung. 🌧️ Als sich Regen und Wolken am späten Nachmittag verzogen hatten, konnten wir gegen halb fünf doch noch zu unserer letzten Wanderung in der Auvergne aufbrechen, hinein in die Vallée de Chaudefour.

🇫🇷🌋 Hoch über der Chaîne des Puys – vom Puy de Dôme auf dem Ziegenweg hinab 🐐
Wegen der anhaltenden Hitze haben wir uns auch hier für eine möglichst wenig schweißtreibende Tour entschieden: Am späten Nachmittag brachte uns die Zahnradbahn hinauf auf den Puy de Dôme (1.465 m) – und damit mitten hinein in eines der eindrucksvollsten Panoramen unseres Auvergne-Urlaubs. 🌋

🇫🇷 Kleine Panoramatour im Sancy-Massiv zum Puy Ferrand🏔️
Noch bevor wir überhaupt gestartet waren, begann unsere kleine Tour mit einer netten Begegnung: An der Talstation schenkte uns eine freundliche Frau zwei Karten für die spätere Talfahrt, die sie selbst nicht mehr benötigte. 🤗 Mit der Seilbahn ging es anschließend hinauf ins Sancy-Massiv.

🇫🇷 Lac Chambon – Runde um unseren „Haussee“ 🏖️🌲
Der Lac Chambon ist während unseres Urlaubs quasi zu unserem Haussee geworden – von unserer Unterkunft in Murol sind es nur wenige Autominuten bis ans Wasser. Nachdem wir gestern schon zum Baden hier waren, haben wir heute am Sonntagnachmittag noch eine Runde um den See gedreht.

🇫🇷 Puy de Pariou – Der Weg in die Vulkanlandschaft 🪜🌋
Manchmal reicht ein einziges Bild, um ein Reiseziel auf die Wunschliste zu setzen. Bei uns war es dieses eine Foto: die langgezogene Holztreppe, die eher wie ein Steg wirkt und geradewegs in die weite Vulkanlandschaft hineinführt, den mächtigen Puy de Dôme als Kulisse vor Augen.

🇫🇷 Rund um den Lac Pavin – Schön, tief und meromiktisch 🤓
Der nur knapp vier Kilometer lange Rundweg führte uns die ganze Zeit über angenehm schattig durch den Wald und eröffnete immer wieder schöne Ausblicke auf den tiefblauen Vulkansee.
