The first tour today took us to the Runswanderweg Geroldsauer Wasserfall. A beautiful tour along the water, mostly easy to walk, but also with many stairs. At the upper waterfall, you can admire large rhododendrons in various colors on the left and right. The tour is therefore particularly worthwhile in April/May.🥾🥾🚶♂️🚶♀️

Unfortunately, the beautiful wooden bridge over the Murg in Forbach was closed due to renovation work. But the tour was very nice.
Started at a fresh 2.5 °C and some sleet showers (has the advantage that you don't get wet).
It went moderately uphill out of Forbach and along streams and almost alpine meadows

A beautiful tour. Moderate ascent via the main path. This means a lot of public traffic. At the top of the Hornisgrinde, a sensational view over the Northern Black Forest and as far as the Vosges. The high moor is very interesting and partly traversable on wooden walkways.

So our last tour led us along this beautiful path. You always have wonderful views of the castle and the Heidelberg old town.
Before we went down to the Neckar, we made a detour to the Neuburg Benedictine Monastery. Also a place worth seeing

Today we traveled by bus and tram to the starting point of this beautiful tour. The ascent begins directly out of the district, and you are quickly in the forest. The path today led us partly on forest paths, partly over roots, stone steps and wooden bridges along the wonderful Gertelbach waterfalls. Great rock formations could be seen to the left and right. On the way back, we chose the less strenuous forest path. Sturdy and waterproof footwear is required for this path. 🥾🥾🚶♂️🚶♀️
