I've never cycled through the Wahner Heide like this before. The paths were quite good - I prefer simple forest paths much more than gravel roads and the like.

I took the train 🚆 to Bonn-Beuel, crossed the center of Bonn (it even went quite well) to then dive into the surrounding area.

Started before the heat was supposed to come, then it became cloudy and so it was very pleasant to ride.

During the day it gets very hot, so the advice "get up early", alarm set (05:20), it rang, was pressed and I got up immediately at 06:30 (for me still in the middle of the night).
