About Kurt
Fahre nun seit rund 50 Jahren Fahrrad.

At the end of the last day of my stay at the Northern Italian Lakes, I took a look at Nago and went up to Castel Penede. You can find out the story in the picture with the board. It was probably a very strategically located facility that was also hotly contested. There is no sign anywhere that the facility…

Today the tour was actually supposed to go to the arboretum in Arco and then to Lago di Cavendine. But @maike persuaded me, or more precisely recommended, to go to Lago di Santa Massenza. There are grappa distilleries there. That's right!🤪😂 Only limited tasting because there are too many meters in…

For me, visiting Riva del Garda is a "duty" when I'm already here, but this Nago also fascinates me. Nago lies above Torbole and Riva and probably leads a shadowy existence if you know the lively life down by the lake. But maybe this is exactly what the residents enjoy. Here are a few impressions of the place.

Last day today in Marone or Iseo. After the rain in the morning, I trusted the weather forecast and headed to the Torbiere del Sebino nature reserve.
Tomorrow we're going to Nago-Torbole for a few days.
Unfortunately the pictures are mixed up ☹️ Somehow Komoot doesn't like loading pictures in the right order at the moment.

Today there was another visit to Iseo and up to the Agritourismo Forest. Up there there is a small hotel with a restaurant and a great view of the nature reserve and Lake Iseo.

There is a grocery market in Iseo on Fridays. And people from the area actually come to shop; but in the meantime also the tourists. It gets correspondingly crowded in the town. Even if you don't visit on a Friday, it's worth it!

The target was actually a chapel in the Fadenno area near the holiday home of the parish of the same name. However, the path there was closed and marked as private.
It's a shame, but the tour itself was great; the view is simply great.
And some more language:
Chiese is the name of the river or valley
Chiesa…

Today we went leisurely to the biotope, which is practically on the doorstep of the "front door", i.e. the motorhome door. The city or district has defined part of the bank as a biotope and also created a corresponding path for pedestrians. There are also 3 or 4 observation towers with peepholes available…

Castel San Giovanni di Bondone is a castle complex that for centuries housed the noble Lodron family, who ruled the Valle del Chiese. As is the case with other castles managed by the Lodron family in the Valle del Chiese, the military component clearly predominates over the residential-residence elements…

Shortly before the trip to the winter quarters, a walk with @Evelyn Klepzig through Gaildorf and the 49th parallel!
