Not far from Huaraz (half an hour's drive), the ascent to Laguna Churup begins. A lagoon below the mountain of the same name.
We didn't ascend via the main path, but a few hundred meters before the parking lot. In my opinion, this is more recommendable as it leads upwards without large steps.

Today we had planned an excursion to a lagoon. Our hotel manager told us that it would be a good 6-hour bus ride and then only about a 1-hour walk by the lake. 🤨
So we quickly changed our plans and took a taxi for a good half hour into the mountains to then hike for 6 hours 😍.

After we got out of the jungle again, we flew via Lima to Huaraz in the Peruvian Andes.
After checking into the hotel, there was still time for a short tour into the hinterland with beautiful views of Huaraz and the high 6,000-meter peaks 😅.
