3 days for mountains in summery temperatures - nothing else but to go.....
So BRB Harras at 6:10 am to Tegernsee. And that the gravel track from there to Achenkirch is so incredibly good, I hadn't quite realized. You really feel sorry for the road cyclists on the Pentecost-filled main road to the Achensee

When @oidawolf talks about Thanninger Weiher, he always gets quite sentimental, theatrical, it's supposed to be so beautiful there - he says. So I ride there on a cobbled-together gravel track.
And yes, Thanninger Weiher is a very beautiful, quiet spot to linger.
It goes back over a lot of gravel. On gravel

YESTERDAY (The evening BEFORE this morning!!!) on the way home at a relaxed 15 km/h on the bike path, it suddenly went "kradutz" and my ROSE Commuter initiated a sharp, unannounced full brake.
Wondering, I look in the direction where the metallic grinding noise is coming from. The chain makes a spiral

One can ride higher up again with the MTB - almost completely without snow.
My weather report then threatened me that it could rain from 2 PM. I can't use that at all on the yellow Gwänd - therefore, start at 6:36 AM from DB Pasing train station.
From GAP train station, it goes uphill not far away.

Some very nice sections today: Vilstal, Tannheimer Tal, Rinnen Tal and Zugspitzblick in Lermos. This is how gravel riding is fun.
I had to give the HR another 60 ml of Stans sealant. With that it is sealed. Nevertheless, it has served its time with a good 6000 km, partly on the roughest gravel.

I wanted to test the B router as a self-proclaimed gravel specialist. I chose "Gravel low traffic". I thought I would get gravel. But in this function, it does create small roads, but mainly asphalt. In that sense, it's more for road bikes than for gravel bikes. This setting is simply useless for gravel

So. Last car-free Saturday in Eng. Perfectly planned in glorious weather.
It was a great pleasure with @Henryk, @Zé, and @Bernhard. That's when road cycling is really fun - and for that, I'm happy to get the plastic bike from the discount store out of the basement. And to make it really worthwhile, I

When you wake up in the morning, you feel like a rosemary potato taken out of the oven and put into the cold kitchen. The rosemary bushes have intensely perfumed the tent with the scent of rosemary, and the temperature gradient from the sleeping bag to the outside is like oven - kitchen.
Coffee. Fruit

It was beautiful today. Less forest on the mountains up to 1200 m. More views. The few villages we pass through are all deserted from 1 PM onwards. You really have to plan your food.
In the morning, dC1's rear wheel lost pressure. Pumped it up. After 5 km, again. You can see milk bubbles emerging from

Very nice bike ride today. ZERO traffic. Very lonely. AND finally sweated instead of freezing. Truly Mediterranean!
2 things strike me most today:
1. The Spanish road builder has shaped the road layout in such a way that when cycling, you practically complete a full-day interval training!! Why? Because

The day begins with a realization that we actually know: Ultra light stuff is quite susceptible to damage. The truly feather-light tent, which has served excellently so far and is absolutely waterproof, is not made for such stormy nights. On a tent pole, the outer rain fly has a hole from the night's

The rainy night in a room was very pleasant. So was the breakfast. Stepping out into the fresh air, however, was unpleasantly cold: 3°C! But no rain.
Instead of rain today, an icy wind that makes jackets flutter horizontally and everything not nailed down disappears in the airflow - luckily, on the bike

Breakfast was in the sun at the Schlegeis reservoir, which has such a low level that you can observe how curved a dam is constructed. Never seen before.
Then it goes first cycling and from approx. 2000 m partly pushing towards the pass. One almost has to smile at the "greedy push bars for bicycles
