A "RIDE" ride is always exciting. So was today. It started at 5:15 AM in Davos - where it's beautiful. At that time of day, there's fantastic peace and air - e.g. the mown hay along the 800m ascent to the Strelapass - the last 250 vertical meters you have to ..... push because it's too steep.

Then you

Even a normal day like today includes about 600m of pushing on this tour (which already shows that the 290m indication today is not correct - it should have been around 1100m) - but almost no carrying. Just riding uphill without bad weather would be boring :-)

As I approach the Flüela Pass, I realize

At breakfast, you can already see that it will rain today. The last 2 days I had outrageous luck, but the "southern influence of the weather" was kind to me.

Around 8 a.m. it goes down into the valley on a fine S2 - I think you say "made my day". The evening route change turned out to be excellent. I

The route today is actually for hikers - taking MTBs along is very strenuous. So today I'm setting a new MTB pushing+carrying record, which wasn't my goal at all: 750m of pushing + 750m of CARRYING (!!).

The landscape I hiked through is a dream and absolutely lonely - so far so good.

But when you also

I love Switzerland. Perhaps also because it is so staid and correct.

The bus 182 departs at 10:00:00. The bus driver sets my derailleur to the smallest cog and smilingly tells me that several derailleurs have already broken because the derailleur cage was pointing vertically downwards - in the BUS bicycle

So today is bike-day WITHOUT CAR in the Dolomites – something you naturally can't miss. We start the tour in Sesto directly from our wonderful accommodation (sportony).

It's a cheerful, illustrious company that pedals up and down on all sorts of bicycles, spread across the entire road. The vast majority

Scenically, today was a real Dolomite cracker - incredible landscape - speaks for itself. The detour to the hopelessly overcrowded Lake Misurina with a view of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo is also worthwhile.

As yesterday, an interesting mix of clouds gathered in the afternoon, from which a little rain also

The Pustertal is beautiful to ride with the RR (road bike) as there is always an asphalt cycle path.

From the spot by the stream to the ultra-premium cafe & cake. Cycling with locals from Meran not only takes you over very fine hidden paths towards Muggelsee but also to a fabulous cafe. Its cake selection would surely leave even speechless with awe.

The Muggelsee itself is a bit overcrowded

A completely traffic-free ascent over 1000 hm for breakfast/picnic above the Ultental.

When you get to Lana in the Pfitscher valley it is hot. Meran too.

After K&K it goes towards Prad back to the car. This was

On the way from South Tyrol to Bavaria, on the right and left, there are a few very fine trails - meaning no forest road rolling, but exciting descents that demand attention. Like the Giggelberg.

The evening before my ascent, the mountains, where I wanted to go, were green. In the morning, it was white
