But it was still worth it. My husband always says: Don't snap so much. You can't take the photos with you to your grave anyway.... but you can take the memories 😇

Oh dear.. Yes, we also know such a horror, e.g. battery empty! .. doesn't matter, I charged the spare battery... and then the realization .. oh no 😯 it's still in the charger at home 😱

I definitely took some great memories with me yesterday. Last year it was still on my wish list, a tour with fog in the valley while I was on top of the mountain. It finally worked yesterday 🤗 It was so great 🥰

The Rhine Valley is often completely fogged up.

Sometimes only the peaks look out as islands in the Palatinate Forest. It's always nice and different. Sometimes you're unlucky and you don't get high enough in the Palatinate Forest to be above the fog.

I've also been out and about with my camera for around 2 1/2 years now and have never posted cell phone photos here since then, so I can understand how you must have felt. But I can reassure you, the pictures of your tour also look great, you got the best out of this situation and took great photos of the fog.

@Silvia D. Thank you for your lovely comment. In retrospect, I was actually happy to at least be able to take pictures with my cell phone. As nice as what I just experienced and the memories are, pictures to refresh memories are just as important to me.
