Today's stage is very special because it takes you through three countries - in just one day. Immediately after Lindau you cross the border to Austria. On the smooth paved, flat bike path you drive to Bregenz. On the way you can enjoy the fantastic view of Lake Constance, because the path leads directly along the shore. In Bregenz, it is worthwhile to stop in and visit the local mountain. From the 1,064 meter high Pfänder you have a breathtaking panoramic view of 240 Alpine peaks and of course on Lake Constance. When you continue on the Lake Constance cycle path then you cross the Bregenz Oh and when leaving the city of the Rhine. Over flat field and meadow landscape it goes on to the Swiss border, which is formed by the old Rhine. By crossing the river you will not only change the shore side, but also from Austria to Switzerland. Here you cycle directly back to the water and drive on the shore to the final destination Romanshorn. In the pretty harbor town on Lake Constance, as in the other destinations, there are numerous accommodations and restaurants available. And here too you can change to the train or the ferry.
