Meine 230. Wanderung führte nach Handrup (ca. 835 Einwohner) und durch die schöne Landschaft. Nachweislich bildeten sich um 800 vor Christi die ersten Siedlungen. Im Jahre 890 n. Chr. wurde der Ort im Heberegister Werden urkundlich erwähnt. 1818 wurde das Gebäude für die Kath. Volksschule errichtet. 1923 wurde das Kloster eröffnet und wurde in den Jahrzehnten durch An-und Umbauten erweitert bzw. verändert.
