About 73km cycling when Rhubodach to Colintrave and Hunter's Quay to McInroy's Point ferries subtracted.
Road south from Colintraive then track round west shore of Loch Striven are both glorious. Then there's 30 mins tough uphill hike-a-bike 😱😱😱 to join good forest track with great views over Loch Striven.
Round to Loch Tarsan on road then gravel up past Loch Tarsan (more great views) to Glenmassan for fast fun descent down the glen to the Botanic Gardens.
A final bit of climbing and gravel through Dunoon.
Lovely coastal path to Inverkip train station which is on a hill 😱.
Route was done clockwise to finish using the very regular Western Ferries service. Strongly suggest you consider doing the route in the other direction to make the hike-a-bike downhill rather than uphill as ferry connections still look OK.
Thanks to Dougie, Jim & David for the company and not complaining, although they did take the piss!

Strava says 830m ascent.
