Der Radweg entlang des Canal de Mira südwärts auf der Mira Dünenroute bringt uns direkt direkt nach Costa Nova. Die bunt-gestreiften Strandhäuser sind hier ein begehrtes Fotomotiv. Viele sagen es sei der schönste Strandort hier an der Beira.Sonntags war hier leider ziemlich viel Trubel. Unser Ziel Praia de Mira hat einen langen, alljährlich neu mit der Blauen Flagge ausgezeichneten Sandstrand, der bisher nur weitgehend regionale Bedeutung hat und daher vom Massentourismus verschont blieb, und einen meist ruhigen Betrieb mit touristischer Infrastruktur (u. a. Cafés, Hotels, Restaurants, Campingplätze) bietet. Nur heute ist es wahrscheinlich voll und quirlig. Er ist allerdings langfristig von Erosion durch das Meer bedroht.
