Trailhead is at the Drachenturm 🅿️ - follow paved roads, dirt roads, hiking paths, some marked, via Edlmühl to Untergrafenried. Cross the border at Grafenried/Lucina and follow green line hiking paths to Hirschstein/Starý Herštejn 🅿️. Then follow red line north and leave this after 3km. Thereafter, you are on your own until you cross the border at the unmarked border crossing at Steinlohe. Even though you can see the Drachenturm from there, it is 8km to go … please mind there is only one spring for drinking water just before crossing the border at Steinlohe. And if you don’t mind a little detour, there is plenty of beer to find in Zavist.🍺
