Trailhead Drei Kaiserreichen 🅿️ (limited parking slots). Follow Eixendorfer Seeweg south. Cross river below dam. Trail merges with abandoned railroad track Bodenwöhr - Rötz (now hiking trail). Have a break after 8 km at Museumsschänke Salzfriedl (open Saturday, Sunday, for other times check www.salzfriedl-museumsschänke.de) or Hotel Wutzschleife (not checked). Cross Schwarzach river (creek?) and follow directions to Schellhof. Cross St 2151 and directions to Sattelhütte (shelter). At Sattelhütte, don’t follow Goldsteig north but directions Thanstein west. At Engelbild turn left and follow directions Taubenwiesen down to romantic little gulch to 🅿️ Drei Kaiserreichen.

Trailhead was the Hiking Parking lot at Altenschneeberg. If you want to find the Signalberg Gipfelkreuz, you got to know the sign at the cutoff is missing.
