There is something healing about forests and they smell...

This weekend we had actually planned a Baasee tour with a friend, but since I (still) have neither a voice nor good hearing due to an infection, today we went out into nature alone again - in a different direction, slowly and much shorter than originally planned. In the Lieberoser terminal …

On the trip to Dresden I finally caught up on this small but nice tour that I couldn't manage in August.
The forest floor was very damp, but this didn't detract from the wilderness trail experience...

Forest paths, single trails, small lakes, lots of information boards and very good signage for the circular route. I was lucky with the sun, …

Yesterday, in the cooler evening hours, I was still walking along the Crane Trail, and today I took advantage of the fresh morning air to explore the adjacent wilderness trail.

The approximately 8km long tour starts at the forest parking lot at the Bergsee lake, continues north past the Butzener Bagen (a rewetted moor) to Lake Zieste, and then loops …

A really beautiful tour over mostly cloud-soft ground. Everything is easily accessible and despite the large amount of forest there are always little highlights to discover. Highly recommended for anyone who doesn't like walking long asphalt routes and is looking for a little peace and quiet away from the tourist crowds.

Not much life can be seen due to the cold nights. But it's getting slow. This is a tour that certainly has its charms in every season. It is to be commended that the signage is excellent. There are also some rest areas with benches. I can only recommend the tour! And if the 8 km don't appeal to you, …

Mostly doable with an all-terrain stroller (Chariot, Thule and Co), although I would skip the short detour to the Großer Ziestesee and the loop around the mountain lake. If you prefer “car-friendly” routes, you shouldn’t choose this tour 😉 We love rounds like this! 🥰
