Touring the Xander Blade was on my list for a few weeks after Kauai and Nicolet made it so very tasty. On June 30th then it was time. Starting from Wildberg, we hiked on a beautiful circular route through the Lützenschlucht, right past Neu- and Altbulach, then successfully crossed the Nagold, Bundesstraße and railway tracks in Seitzental an der Talmühle and we were standing at the entrance of the Xanderklinge. In the Xander Blade, it was comparatively wild and somewhat adventurous for about 1km - although there was not much to hear and see from the rushing stream or waterfall. It looks different after a heavy rain - but for good reason it is not advisable to cross it.Immediately after the Xander Blade, you come to Holzbronn, where the Krabba-Nescht (looks like a motorcycle pub) seems to be a popular place to go. Unfortunately it was closed and so we walked towards Validlingen. From there it was "only 😱🥵" 6km until we got back to our starting point in Wildberg.

Fine thing - such an eMTB (with full battery 😂). Provides you with an unimaginable range and is so comfortable, but also sporty - if you switch off the engine 😂.Today I drove from home to Oberweier and from there I turned onto the Ettlinger Panorama-Rundweg. Right at the beginning in Ettlingen there are three attractions (Horbachsee, Schloß and Stadtgarten) right on the route. It is really worth stopping here and watching in peace. The rest alternate between country roads, field and forest paths with longer climbs and descents. The forest trails are really fun with the MTB - whether up (with e) or down (without e) 😂.

Relaxed afternoon bike tour for two from K'he-Durlach through Grötzingen, Berghausen and past Stupferich, Palmbach, Grünwettersbach, Hohenwettwersbach (the K'her mountain villages) and Wohlfahrtsweier.Particularly noteworthy: an artist's workshop in Berghausen (5.2 km), where the artist put his works on display directly on the house and on the street (unfortunately a little careless).

At the end of our one-week vacation in Obergammergau today (June 20, 2020) the Höllentalklamm was actually the crowning glory. At the beginning of the week, the internet said "closed until June 19 for cleaning up". So it should be on June 20. yes again be possible. But what a disappointment when we arrived at the parking lot in Hammersbach (at least a minimum parking fee of € 8.00).In the search for alternatives, we first made our way to Obergrainau and then - quite spontaneously - went up the mountain 😂. This time, however, without any great effort with two cable cars up and down with a third.Like the whole of the previous week, clouds and rain were our loyal companions 😣😂.

Awesome 👍👍👍.Didn't have too high expectations for this tour (on the last regular day of vacation). For this, they were exceeded even more fantastically. If you are around here, I can only recommend to follow this "Ammer circular route".It is really worth it, because for nature-loving hikers everything is represented: wide alpine meadows, green forests, enchanted paths, gorges, lakes, white water, steep ascents and descents on natural ground with an adventurous climbing character, countless cows not to be forgotten, and and and .....The best: completely soaked forest paths covered with puddles. "Balm for the battered dog paws".At the end we hung up a lap around the Bayersoier See (unplanned) - and we haven't regretted that for a second. Before I forget: I haven't seen a single ray of sunshine all day, but I have received more raindrops. And I would do it again in the weather (even if I could choose) 😂Has turned into a real photo orgy again - sorry for that 😂.

What would a vacation in Oberammergau be without the Passion Play?Actually, a performance was planned again this year (as is well known, it only takes place every ten years), but like so much, this event also fell victim to Corona. The new date is currently planned from May to October 2022 - if the corona pandemic is under control by then 🤔.So today I took the opportunity to give the dog a well-deserved break and instead made my way to the Passion Theater and Museum. Both less than 100m from the hotel - so the "hike" today was very modest 😂. All the more the camera had to do with the modest lighting conditions (and flash prohibition) in the theater / museum interiors to take reasonably acceptable photos 😂.Unfortunately, the pictures are mixed in their order, as they were taken in almost the same location and indoors without GPS. It would be very desirable here if Komoot would offer a simple manual sorting of the photos in the future in order to create a better chronological sequence. Unfortunately, there is no such function (yet).

Yes, was he drunk? This may be a question for some when studying the track in the range from 6.2km.Not that, but as naively as I was, I followed Komoot's suggestion and planned to get into the gorge "from above", ie coming from the Eckbauer. If someone had told me beforehand that Corona made the gorge a one-way street (of course only with MNB). So we had to turn around at km 7.2 and then took the grass corner cable car to the lower entrance of the gorge and hiked up from there in the prescribed direction. We then took the way back over the "Iron Bridge" instead of going down again with the cable car and paying another € 5 😂.The gorge itself is a unique experience that you can happily repeat two, three, four or more times, this impressive natural spectacle is so impressive.Oh yes, I almost forgot: it didn't rain this morning (except in the gorge and there from all sides 😂) and every now and then the sun was out. But that was the end of the moment when we were back at the hotel at around 2pm 😂.

Very mixed weather today. A mixture of yesterday (continuous rain) and the day before yesterday (only clouds but no rain). As a result, the rain ☔ went up and down constantly today. The route around the two lakes is really beautiful. Don't want to know what's going on here in summer when the sun is warm. How good that it was rather cool and rainy today 😂.

At home we would have walked out the door at most 20m (for the dog shop 😅) with the weather. But sacrifice a whole vacation day to the weather? That is not how it works. So everything made waterproof from bottom to top (boots, rain pants, rain jacket, hood plus umbrella) and off to Ettal Abbey. A hike of a slightly different (wetter) type, but still nice and glad that we dared.

Today the exact contrast program for yesterday:
      - Instead of 450 only "0" meters in altitude
      - Instead of bright sunshine, there are low, hanging rain clouds and sometimes light drizzle. Thank god but not the announced strong thunderstorms.
Nevertheless, it was a very nice and pleasant tour - just right to regenerate from yesterday's exertion. And tourists were (almost) none on the move in the weather 👍😅
