This hike near Nürtingen is a relaxing loop with little elevation gain on easy trails. Even though it doesn't climb high, you can enjoy fantastic views to the southeast, where the Albtrauf stretches along the horizon. On clear days, you might spot several castles: Hohenzollern on the right, Hohenneuffen pretty…

Hochgehberge 1/22 ✔️ Today I hiked one of the Hochgehberge trails for the first time. Due to the high temperatures forecast for today, it was a slightly shorter route. This one also has the advantage of starting at the top of Nürtingen's Galgenberg, so you only have to climb a few meters. The first highlight, an old Roman farm, is within the first kilometer. Once you've finally left the forest behind you, you're rewarded with magnificent views, even as far as Hohenneuffen and the castle of the same name. I particularly liked the two fountains near the end; I was able to refresh myself a bit there. A very easy route, just what I needed today.
A varied route along gardens, meadows with lush flowers and yellow rapeseed fields. Past a Roman estate and the large Schaber alpaca farm. Simply too sweet. 😍 Plus there's a fantastic view over the Neckar valley to the Swabian Alb, currently framed by blossoming fruit trees. A clear spring hiking tip. 👍🥾
Hello Hello! This morning I thought it only rains once today! But I want to get out and have to run, and not just a walk. So threw Zoya's little coats on and my rain jacket on me. The winter jacket has just had a break, otherwise it would show me the bird because it's over 10 degrees. So! So let's go in the rain gear. You can park above Galgenberg-Park. Or also downstairs by the indoor pool, but the parking spaces are chargeable. And off we go a bit through the park, then through a residential area and past the excavations of the Roman manor. And further along gardens. And then I saw it! There was something white on the branches ... that can't be snow, can it? Nooo, it definitely can't ... hold on! They were pussy willows, you can see it in picture one! They are already hatching ... oooh no..I then talked to them that this is not a good idea, because it will be again, possibly, probably, probably again cold ... colder..cooler ... cooler..something I suspect that I will step in again .... I can understand it, with the temperatures you think spring can never be far! but that is deceptive! I guess ... you never know ... but well, I very much hope my courageous speech helped and you believe me and slip back again 🤗😊😎 We then continue through the forest on gravel roads. Then you come up to the Alpaaakaaas .... and they were outside ... first eyed the brown and white ball of fur with a pink raincoat. And kept a safe distance. Here, too, I gave an exuberant speech, it doesn't matter, it just looks like a dog, it doesn't even bark, it would like to sniff you, oh, would like to come closer ..... well .... two three little ones Alpaca crotches were still there ... but nothing more ... so there is only a picture from further away.😂😂 Then it continues on meadow paths, sometimes very muddy, of course. And then .. how should it be otherwise ..... at temperatures above 0 degrees a bath in a meadow puddle is refreshing. The picture only shows the Zoya running through the puddle ... Unfortunately I couldn't take a picture of it before, I wasn't prepared for it at all! 😎🤣🤣 It was a party for Zoya! It then dripped with wetness and mud, but we know that all too well from the water mermaid. I forgot to say that nothing came from above, that means we were dry ... and the sun even came out twice ... but only for a short time. So it goes back over meadows and fields to the Galgenberg and to our parking lot. You definitely have a view of the Alb from the plateau and you can also see the Hohenneuffen. I wish you a nice evening, one of the last this year.❤🙋♀️🐾
Today the Easter tour went to Nürtingen on the very beautiful premium hiking trail "Hochgehblickt"... The name says it all, and spoils you with a great view and panoramic view of the Swabian Alb, including the Albtrauf and Hohenneuffen Castle. As a treat, in the first half of the tour, which went through the forests, there was lots of wild garlic and the Scraper alpaca farm, with a variety of these cute, fluffy animals 😍. You can also regularly find benches to take a snack break or simply enjoy the view. A great Easter hike where the weather got better and sunnier as the tour went on ☀️🥳 ... highly recommended 9 km to enjoy 🤗👍👋
And now there is a blog article about the hike with more information: https://travellerblog.eu/hochgeblickt-nuertingen-rundwanderung-hochgehberge/
Today we went on one of the premium hiking trails in the Swabian Alb. The tour took us on forest and field paths, which are also suitable for all-terrain strollers. The first stop was the Villa Rustica, a 2000-year-old Roman estate. We went to the orchards and meadows into the farmer's forest, which impressed us with carpets of wild garlic, many cowslips and other signs of spring.Out of the farmer's forest we come to the beautiful alpaca farm, which makes every child's heart beat faster. It is open on Saturdays and Sundays. You can also book an alpaca hike, the along the path of reflection. From here you also have a great view of the nightmare. Our tour also leads partly on the path of reflection and on the wild rose path. It was the wrong time of year for us on the wild rose path. The last big highlight of the tour was the Wengerter cottage, which was lovingly decorated and invites you to linger.
At 15 degrees and sun 🌞 ran a nice round today. Greetings from spring 😊
For our opening hike, we met on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the town hall in Sickenhausen and drove together to Nürtingen. From there, we started our hike on the premium hiking trail "hochgeblickt" and enjoyed the wonderful weather and the panorama. At the end, we stopped at the Schlachthof Bräu.
