A white sea of snowflakes plays the leading role in this tour. When millions of flowers wake up from hibernation more or less simultaneously, a magical natural phenomenon casts a spell over you. Depending on the weather, the blossom spectacle begins at the end of February or beginning of March.…

We were just out and about today to enjoy.... ❤️🤗😎😃
From Türkheim we are downhill to the magnificent March cup carpets and were simply amazed by this year's flood of plants! Then uphill to the Kahlenstein, sit, watch, enjoy...
From the parking lot at the thermal baths, it goes through the beautiful village past the newly built ship house with a steep climb up to the cave and the rocks of the Kahlenstein. Then along the Albtrauf to Türkheim and down to the Rötelbach with its sintered stone terraces and further over the Autal waterfalls back to Bad Überkingen.
The wait was worth it. The March cups are in full bloom and today was the perfect weather for this experience. I don't think I've ever seen as many March mugs as this year on a single tour. 🤩🤩🤩 The beautiful views of the Burgstall and the Kahlenstein only play a minor role.
Both large areas are covered with snowdrops. The climb to the Albtrauf follows the waterfall. Near St. Vitus Church, a field of larkspur is in beautiful bloom. Another beautiful tour with magnificent views from the Albtrauf.
Swabian-Alb-Tour from Saturday to the March beaker blossom near Bad Überkingen. We started in the large parking lot at the Autalhalle. We first followed the "Forest and Waterway" into the Autal. This 7.5 km short circular route leads from Bad Überkingen to the blooming March cups in the hillside forests of the Au and Rötelbach valleys. On the shady slopes around the Autal waterfall there are large, beautiful white early bloomers. In addition, a small detour up the waterfall to the Brunnensteig cave, which feeds the Autalbach. Continue, following the course of the slope, in a wide curve, over to the Rötelbachtal, where behind the Kneipp pool and ski hut you can once again admire the blooming forest floor. At this point we left the circular route and climbed up to Türkheim with its baroque church, which stands on the edge of the slope and can be seen from afar. Now promising along the eaves until finally the viewpoint on the Kahlenfels was reached. Here's a little, sunny rest. Then the descent past a spacious crevice or former cave exit, which invites you to explore a little. Continue over steep juniper slopes where the first pasque flowers are blooming and finally back down to Bad Überkingen. Paths on the actual Märzenbecher tour are wide and doable without any problems. The first detour to the Brunnensteig cave, as well as the section from the ascent from the Rötelbachtal to Türkheim to the descent from the Kahlenstein, on easy paths. Weather 13°C, sunny, great :)
First part not feasible in winter, or no jetty available... had to turn back
spontaneous standard get-together to enjoy the last frosty temperatures 🥶 It's hard to believe that in 2 weeks at the latest everything here will be white from the snowdrops 💮. At least today it's freezing cold again and there are a surprising number of pretty ice sculptures 👌🏻
