Signed as "Schöne Aussicht", there is no indication of this on site. So keep your head to the right so you don't run past.

Well worth a look up. unbelievably beautiful view over a very large area. The wrath is also really high and it does take you a while to climb up in your cycling shoes, you really will be rewarded!

Kulmspitze Observation Tower

Highlight • Viewpoint

The 28 m high tower is not the first tower on the Kulmspitze (1,095 m). At the end of the 19th century there was already a pyramid-shaped observation tower here. …

Here you can sit on a bench and look over to the Schafberg. There used to be an inn on the right at the edge of the forest called 'Schafbergblick'.

Conclusion: Comfortable hike mainly on small streets and beautiful hiking trails, a bit steeper at the end. Grandiose view from the tower with panorama boards. Unfortunately not a good view today.

Significantly more altitude than the hike to the Brocken. The view from the tower is magnificent.

Had some errands near Lake Mondsee, despite the 🥶🌬...
To Kulmspitze via Radstatt Chapel (the signpost just says Radstatt) nice trail, partly steep...

Kulmspitze 360-degree view today, even the Sonnragshorn - so towards home - can be seen.

The path down is partly asphalt... 🤨 but there wasn't really any alternative... at least officially...🙈

Unfortunately, the recording is not really correct.
Pedometer shows 16.8km, which certainly corresponds more to reality

Showing Translation

Today's destination, the Kulmspitze, was about 6 km from Mondsee. A lookout tower was built on the 1095 m high peak in 2019.

From Mondsee we walked almost 600 HM quite steeply uphill to the Radstatt. Some of the paths up were very soft and slippery.

Showing Translation

The climb up to the Radstatt Chapel was like the precursor to canyoning: the path is very similar to a stream bed.
