A must see on Langeland are the wild horses (Vilde Heste), Exmoor ponies that are genetically most similar to the Danish wild horses .. . The free-living animals manage without additional feeding and stables.

There are several colour-coded paths of different lengths. These also go THROUGH the reserve, i.e. you are NOT separated from the animals by a fence.

Attention: a section of the path leads across a pasture with wild cattle 🐮 who enjoy chasing hikers. ⛔ They ran straight at us several times and we really got scared 😱! Immediately after us ran a jogger who they also wanted to pick up on the horns. 😫
