This new shelter is being built on the spot where there used to be a small seating area (table with bench). It complements the shelters on the bowling cycle path; is of a slightly different design.

The cycle path uses the route of the former Hünfeld-Wenigentaft railway line. Therefore, there are only slight inclines and you can cycle relaxed through the beautiful landscape of the Kuppenrhön.

Today, Erika and I were out and about in the Hessian Rhön Mountains. We started in Almendorf, just after Fulda. We set off on the R3 Hessen Railway Cycle Route, also known as the Milseburg Cycle Route. The Milseburg Tunnel is 1.7 km long. Later, we continued on the Ulstertal Cycle Route and the Kegelspiel Cycle Route. Then, we continued …

We decided on today's tour, starting at Götzenhof, quite spontaneously the evening before. We normally cycle the four cycle paths—Haunetal-Kegelspiel-Ulstertal and Milseburgradweg—once a year, but usually at the end of the cycling season. Both the Kegelspiel and the Milseburgradweg are two old railway cycle paths. They're always a beautiful ride and, for us, an absolute annual must.

In glorious sunshine and warm temperatures, we took the four-cycle tour, the Great Rhön Loop. The tours included the Kegelspiel, Ulstertal, Milseburg, and Haunetal cycle paths. A fantastic tour that's a must for us once a year.

Today I did some fine-tuning on my bike and riding style with competent support. A very nice ride with almost no traffic, 99% asphalt and 2 different cycle paths.

Today we had planned a four-way cycle route.
From Götzenhof we first cycled to the Hauneradweg to Hünfeld. From there we went to the Kegelspielradweg past Burghaun for a short rest at a lovely barbecue hut near Steinbach. We had planned a coffee break in Großentaft and then stopped at the Krieg restaurant and butcher's shop. Although both were closed, …

The cycling season is almost over for me, and I haven't ridden the 4 cycle paths in Hesse and Thuringia yet this year; it couldn't stay that way. Today, I decided to tackle this project on the spur of the moment. The 4 cycle paths in this case are:
Start on the Haunetal Cycle Path to Hünhan.
Then in Hünfeld, …
