Forest Road Through NSG Viehmoor

Highlight (Segment) • Forest

Beautiful forest path. A "forest highway" that leads to Gifhorn. A long walk is also worthwhile here.

The section is the so-called Bokelberger- & Dieckhorster Weg between the villages of Müden (Aller) and Wilsche.
The route is also part of the well-known "Aller-Radweg" & "Lüneburger Heideradweg"!
The section is well signposted.

What a relaxed tour!
On the Eyßelheideweg through Winkel towards Viehmoor. From there on wonderful forest paths to Dalldorf and further to Meinersen.
The drive through Meinersen was less pleasant, especially as a blind woman turning left cut me off and only my emergency braking prevented an accident. Maybe next time I'll try a parallel route through the town.

With great weather on May 1st, we cycled again in the vicinity of Gifhorn. In the hotel's indoor pool, we could refresh ourselves after the ride, and after dinner, we're heading to the second dance party of this long event weekend.

At a pleasant 30 degrees, the rows went around on the usual routes.
Mostly protected by forests, it was bearable and you didn't feel the heat so much.

The route is very trekking-heavy in the Heidesee-Winkel area, i.e. sandpits and roots should not frighten you.

The first extended tour took us to the Gifhorn district today. The bike trip took place along the heath and extensive fields and forests in a pleasant temperature. In the woods, slightly muddy forest paths alternated with light sandy soil, but they were still easy to drive. A little slalom promotes concentration and the smell of freshly cut wood and …
