Floßlände Schnappenhammer

Highlight • Bridge

Worth seeing, and not just during the tourist raft trips. In the area around the raft landing there are many relics from the rafting era: sluice gates, weirs, structures. The long descent from the Romansfelsen also ends here.

I've now hiked the Lamitz Trail three times in just over a month, and it's true that one is constantly confronted with changes, whether due to the vegetation, the condition of the trail, or human intervention in the form of construction sites.

Beautiful route with great views over the Franconian Forest. One crossing of the Lamitz was completely flooded and therefore impassable, so we had to take a short detour onto the road. Then we went back on the path, which went steeply uphill after the bend.
