Historic Meisenheim Station

Highlight • Historical Site

The old train station building in Meisenheim is not just beautiful to look at. A trolley route also runs along here, which also accompanies the route of the Nahe-Glan high-altitude tour between Meisenheim and Odernheim am Glan. Interesting for anyone who would like to choose a different means of transport: nahland.net/de/erleben/erlebnisse/aktivitaeten/draisine/index.html

Along the Glan River

Highlight • Cycleway

Both the Nahe-Glan high-altitude tour and the multi-day “Cycling in Naheland” tour run here. Wonderfully flat and with a great view of the vineyards. It's worth a detour to the Disibodenberg monastery.

Nahe Wine Region Vineyards

Highlight • Natural

Even the Romans have grown wine here. And even today, the wines from the vineyard Nahe taste good. On the green slopes, where you drive past here, especially the grape varieties Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, Dornfelder and Silvaner are grown. When you're done with cycling, it's good to try one or two fine wines ...;)

🌞It just so happened that today was the "Open Monument Day" and just as coincidentally I saw the Disibodenberg monastery ruins on the map! That was a direct hit 👍

The ruin is huge, reminded me a little of Angkor Wat😂, where the forest gradually swallows the temple :))
The new modern “Hildegard’s Chapel” with a panoramic window is unique!

A shame to cordon off the beautiful railway bridge at Staudernheim with those ugly construction grids. The view is gone, the photos are ugly and pushing the bike is almost impossible, you get stuck on the stupid bars. Why? Since the start of the handcar tour, the bridge has been without these bars. Is that also a result of the …

Always beautiful. Great scenery and nice shops.
The indicated speed is not correct. For whatever reason. Komoot showed me that I was sometimes traveling at 90km/h😂

Nice Sunday tour with the family. 5 year old granddaughter rode the whole way with her 16" Woom, respect! Then another 8 km back.
