There are a lot of magical places in Heers, just a beautiful area.
A hiking fun for young and old.

Sand Caves in Heers

Highlight • Cave

Right next to the caves soft white sand, rather not suitable for walking.
But definitely along the paths.

Now it becomes historical: Who would suspect a former mill at this place? Reproduced mill wheels are impressive in the rock. Numerous Dokutafeln give info to the background. Above the …

Medieval Sunken Lane to Regenstein Mill

Beautiful hiking trail on which has also left old traces of transport in the sandstone. Unfortunately everything was full of leaves so that it could not be seen.

June 24, 2023,WR - Regenstein-Mühle (HWN 82) & Sandhöhlen (HWN 81)
Nice little hike around the Regenstein castle ruins, which unfortunately were closed due to the recent storm. The rain stone mill and the sand caves in the army are particularly worth seeing.

I think the parking fee of €1 per half hour is a rip-off, there is no day ticket and the machine only accepts coins.

On the last day of our holiday, we made a wonderful trip to Regenstein Castle, Sandhölen and the beautiful Regensteinsmühle. It was a lovely hiking holiday in wonderful spring weather.

Before we got to the castle I paused komoot and forgot to start it again😅

It's always nice to take a hike through the Heers to the sand caves and the Regensteiner Mill.🤗I didn't have time to visit the castle, I'll do it again another time, at my leisure.

Oh the rabbit was not alone. There were two and one almost killed me. In the …

🚂90min🚃🚃 is what the train troublemakers added to that for me. 55 minutes of that at -12°C in Magdeburg at the station, the rest at a frozen switch and a broken level crossing, comfortably warm on the train. That's right,☝️it's hiking day with Bine. But as is so often the case, what starts off badly turns out really well. Plan …
