In addition to natural cattle breeds such as Highlander, Galloway, Steppenrind and Wisent, you can also marvel at the elemental power of Germany's largest herd of bison. The park is also home to native wildlife.

Through the snow to the bison 🦬. Lots of icy paths, luckily we had crampons with us. Gentle hills and varied skies ❄️👍

Hilly landscape, definitely quite nice here in spring 😉 There are no special highlights. The herd of bison is really cute! Lots of snow and ice on the paths! But it was OK with crampons!

Today we headed back to the Harz Mountains to add to our stamp collection. The starting point for hike 1 was the paid hiking parking lot at Degenershausen Landscape Park (day ticket for cars/campers: €3). The first stamp station, HWN 2020 - Degenershausen Landscape Park, was quickly reached through the beautiful park. Afterwards, in sunny weather and temperatures of around …

It's all too confusing. Did nature create what you're photographing, or was it an extraordinarily talented landscape architect? Hard to say, almost impossible. Well, that was a …

Easter Sunday in the Harz mountains with glorious weather? A tour in the outskirts was needed, away from the crowded hotspots. In the far east there was also little going on, only at the bison enclosure there were larger crowds. This corner is not characterized by rugged forest landscapes, but by gently undulating meadows - it was beautiful!

I really enjoyed the round and I didn't expect it like that. It's worth taking a few tours from others. Mausoleum and Konradsburg were a drive in Stempel for me today.🤷‍♀️

Varied, fairly easy tour through beech and coniferous forests, fields and meadows. Larger climbs are only occasionally. When the weather is great, you can enjoy the view and wide views over the meadows or linger at one of the rest areas along the way.
