The Torre de Hercules is the oldest lighthouse in the world that is still in operation. It was built by the Romans around 110 AD. In the 18th century it was renovated and given another wall.
Very nice tour, there are countless statues and sculptures on the way, only a fraction of which are photographed😉

After we had completed the Camino Ingles at the official starting points and checked into our hostel, we walked the Paseo Mare loop to Faro da Hercules. The lighthouse is closed today and tomorrow due to a hurricane warning (Hurricane Kirk).
A few surfers tried to find the perfect wave, it was probably not the perfect day.
