Opposite the harbor basin, the almost snow-white, up to eight storey high houses rise in a closed front with the glazed wooden balconies typical of Galicia. Originally, this architecture comes from old fishermen's houses, whose porches stored the heat of the sun in winter and were used for cooling in summer.
