The Cossack Memorial commemorates the contribution of Ukrainian Cossacks to the liberation of Vienna from the Ottoman siege in 1683. It is located at Nasenweg in the 19th district and was ceremoniously unveiled on April 23, 2013.

Yesterday I was on my last remaining city hiking trail. The 1a seems to be made for "chamois", the climb from Kahlenbergerdorf to Leopoldsberg is tough, lots of steps and the connecting sections of the path are just as steep. And in the current heat you really start to sweat.
In between and when you get to the top there …

Altogether with breaks, knotting around, photo stops etc, @jause and spritzwein from Nussdorf train station, tour back 6 hours and approx. 12 km

Today I started the city hiking trails project. The city hiking trail 1a leads from Nußdorfer Platz in Döbling over the Danube beach promenade, along the Naseweg to the Leopoldsberg. The Naseweg is paved throughout, has twelve hairpin bends, nine staircases with 310 steps and five “viewing platforms” as well as a viewing platform. This is the “most strenuous” part …

Wonderful tour on a sunny New Year's Day. Great for head ventilation. Only the ascent is exhausting, the fantastic view beckons as a reward.

A special feature of city hiking trail 1a is the Naseweg. Its changing views of the Danube and its unique flora and fauna are particularly worth seeing.

The Leopoldsberg is a 425 meter high hill in Vienna Döbling. This was originally called "Kahlenberg". Only after the Leopoldskirche was built did the name Leopoldsberg become common; the name Kahlenberg was transferred …

Today there is also some chaos in the order of the photos.
Chose the leisurely hike in Vienna at short notice today.
What should not be missing, of course, is a stop at the Heurigen. We can recommend the Schilchersturm, although 5.00 for the glass is a bit expensive.

It's been a long time since I've hiked up the nose of the Leopoldsberg.
Today, in the course of the Lab Cache and the bonus, the path was made even sweeter for me.
The view up here is just beautiful, I like coming here again and again.

With tram D to Nussdorf. Along the Danube to the Kahlenbergdorf, up the Nasenweg (short and crisp) (not suitable for prams) to the Leoboldsberg. On to the Kahlenberg and over the Nussberg back to Nussdorf. Very nice in autumn you can watch the grape harvest or, better still, stop at a wine tavern
