View from Leopoldsberg

From Leopoldsberg you have a wonderful view of the city of Vienna and the Danube and also to Klosterneuburg on the other side. The climb is not only possible via the steep Naseweg, but also via the wine hiking trail from Nussdorf.

Once you reach the top, a breathtaking panorama opens up.

The castle was probably built in the 12th century. With the expansion of the castle Laxenburg by Albrecht III., After the Habsburgs had taken over, began in 1377, the decay of the castle.
